Frenchcore means a good 200+ BPM being blasted through your speakers. We have listed 8 signs that prove you are addicted to this hard BPM. You know you’re a frenchcore addict when…

1. You wake up with 200+ BPM

Waking up for you isn’t possible without grabbing your earphones and blasting a good 200+ BPM through your ears. It is not until you’ve had a dose of frenchcore (and a cup of coffee), you can start your day the right way.

2. You read ‘Trip to’ and immediately think of Dr. Peacock

For you, the word ‘trip’ is always a trigger and makes you think of the last ‘Trip To’ you listened to. Furthermore, Dr. Peacock is one of your heroes since he partly made sure the genre is growing worldwide to this day.

3. You think you have an incredibly extensive French vocabulary

As an addict to frenchcore you think you possess an extensive French vocabulary. From ‘vive la’ to ‘#deusvult’ and ‘toilet’: thanks to frenchcore you are under the impression to have gained an immense  linguistic talent.

4. You mix frenchcore through all of your daily activities

You know you’re a true frenchcore-addict when you attempt to mix it through all of your daily activities. Workout? Frenchcore! Cooking? Time for frenchcore! Bus ride? Frenchcore of course!

5. Peacock in Concert is your version of classical music

Bach, Brahms, Beethoven? For you classical music means Peacock in Concert. Of course you were there for both the big Defqon.1 mainstage performance and the biggest frenchcore event ever in the 013 in Tilburg.

6. You hear a song on the radio, but only know the bootleg of it

As a frenchcore-addict you always recognize all bootlegs and remixes of the ‘normal’ songs, even if you don’t know the original. It’s the same when you recognize a fragment of a movie, because the text has been used in a frenchcore-banger before.

7. You’re a walking frenchcore encyclopedia

“This one is so sick, what’s is called?“ You get this question about 50 times during a party, since you are the walking frenchcore encyclopedia of the group. After two seconds, you already know which track is coming up, what’s it called and from which artist it is.

8. Vive La Frenchcore is always in your party-agenda

Multiple times per year Vive La Frenchcore brings an ode to frenchcore, which therefore can always be found in your party-agenda. You also don’t want to miss the upcoming edition on the 17th of November, which is dedicated to the album release of Dr. Peacock’s Acid Bomb. Tickets for Vive La Frenchcore are available via the BKJN Events website.
