It has just been revealed more heavy measures will be taken in The Netherlands to fight the coronavirus. All events are officially cancelled until June 1st, which means there is also no maximum of 100 visitors anymore.

All gatherings and events in The Netherlands are forbidden until June 1st. Minister Grapperhaus just announced this in a press conference. These measures will be enforced by fines. Grapperhaus: “I realize this is hard. You are looking forward to this. But if we want to control this, we have no other choice.

What can I do to prevent the spread of the coronavirus?

The most important measures you can take to prevent the spread of the coronavirus are straightforward, says RIVM. These measures apply to all viruses that can cause flu and colds. It is always important to follow up these basic hygiene measures:

  • Stay home: only leave the house when necessary
  • Keep your distance from each other: 1.5 meters
  • Wash your hands with soap regularly
  • Cough and sneeze on the inside of your elbow
  • Use paper handkerchiefs

Best news ever, we don’t need this debauchery and fornication. I hope all these organizers and labels go bankrupt thanks to Covid-19.
