Among other topics, the DJ talks about his upcoming album: “I’m currently busy with my new album, CHECKMATE, which will be released at the end of 2019. I can’t say too much about it yet, however. What I can tell you is that I’ve poured blood, sweat and tears into this album.” He also tells about the growth of uptempo within the hardcore scene: “Uptempo is on the rise. It’s great to see that Thunderdome has also been embracing our movement since 2017”, says the Belgium DJ. “We want to make the scene bigger than ever before!”

DRS’ new album will come out by the end of the year on his label Triple Six Records. A few months ago, the producer posted a picture on his socials with the caption: “Loads of new tracks coming your way!” In this picture he tagged several DJs like N-Vitral, Nosferatu, Angernoizer and Estasia. If these collabs will also be on the album is not clear yet.

DRS: “I’ve translated everything I’ve gone through in the last 1,5 years into music”

The exact release date of CHECKMATE isn’t announced yet, but according to DRS it’ll still come out in 2019. For more information about the album and the release, keep an eye on DRS’ Instagram account.
